This was a requested commission from awhile back. I'm not typically excited to do recreations, but this is such an iconic image I couldnt resist. Fun to do and interesting to study/recreate McFarlane's crazy anatomy.

Very cool! No little spiders in the original, right?

this is pretty sweet. although i dont feel you strayed enough into your end of things.

wasn't really my intention, they wanted a recreation. I did enough changes to suit, I didn't want this to be my version of Spiderman in the same pose. I learned alot from doing it.

bummer. i want it to be your version of spiderman in the same pose. haha. i dont understand someone to commission a recreation and want it to be almost verbatim to the original. i can see commissioning a recreation with the artist's stamp on it. ignore me man. im just giving you a hard time and rambling.

You know, this made me realize that McFarlane drew Spiderman really stocky :O

yeah he totally did, there were times I kept trying to thin it out, but realized I was deviating from McFarlane's too much. heh. it was an interesting thing to do.
