I found a bunch of old figure and anatomy studies I had tucked away. They were in a paper portfolio and my basement had some slight flooding, ugh. So a lot of my newsprint sketch studies started getting moldy, even ruining some. It gave me a good excuse to get these out and start documenting them digitally. I took some photos and will probably upload some of these soon.

This was a study of basic muscles on the back, and specifically the scapula. Also the elbow joint and the general shap and structure of how it moves.

Ya know, I really miss doing this stuff. There's something really neat about studying the intricate underlayers and how they affect what we see on the outside, the changes in shadows and highlights. And it's really neat to see how other artists studied the anatomy, too
