what a beautiful masterpiece !!! when i saw this picture in a random search ..between the results i tried hard to know it's Source to thank the maker of it .. in my opinion , it Summarizes almost all the Castlevania Fantasy and nostalgia in one picture,.. the Lighting moon behind Dracula's castle with Vampires and skeletons and zombies and Simon fighting them with his Whip and swords.
I lived and breathed Simons Quest as a kid, this is great, it really looks like the Simon from the box art. It's good to see a masculine looking hero again after the parade of androgyns over the last 15 years or so (not that I didn't love Richter, but still).
I definitely believe that the Simon Belmont as depicted in artwork of the classic series of games, as well as in this work of yours, is much better and more suited not only to the character but also the games themselves, than the effeminate version.
This is awesome...and flawless!, going for the retro simon look i see. which works tremendously because, no offense to the recent anime inspired simon, but he looks very androgenous and not really intimidating. This what i think if when i hear 'simon belmont.' Hm, whats ur position as far as color scheme, for simon being a red head?
AWESOME you know i bet Dracula will be eternally pissed at them since the Belmonts not only beat him back to slumber but each time dracula wakes up its Castle is in ruins all its friends are in pieces and in the main chamber written in the walls in big red letters BELMONT WAS HERE DRACULA DROOLS
Nothing sort of epic. I miss the olden days of Castlevania, even as a collector I've been put off with how the series has been handled in the last few years. Regarding Kojima, she's a fantastic artist and one of my all time favorites, but still I prefer my Castlevania served old school.
