Absolutely awesome redesign that's definitely Cobra Commander, but integrating enough of the new Commander's personality (I'm being very careful about saying who in case anyone who doesn't know reads this post!).
As soon as I got to the big reveal page in GI Joe issue 8 which showed the new commander's uniform, I instantly needed a figure of it!

Great design. Have to admit I've not been a big fan of the IDW Joeverse, but I think making someone like Krake the new CC is an excellent choice, and the armor you've designed here looks like appropriate for the kind of Commander he'll be.

ahhhh didn't know that. Makes sense. Does he really have that much love for his journey though, or would he want to leave that all behind, like he's better than that and doesn't want to be reminded of his past?

I think he just thinks of himself as a REALLY good soldier, who would be better at command then anyone else there. But I think he still has a soldier mentality. I dont think he would go for ceremonial robes and the same posturing as we've perceived the Commander in the past.
