That's fantastic! Firefly's always been a favourite character of mine (after Cobra Commander of course), and seeing him do what he does best in my home country is awesome... in a "please don't blow up anything I like" kinda way.

Firefly should stay away from all national landmarks. Some one has probebly mentioned this already but you rendered that explosion very well.

I did it at a show, it's still very loose compared to what I'd do for a cover, but I understand it's not technically a sketch.

yeah, or a smaller 9x12 for less. But people usually go for the larger ones.

If you don't mind me asking, how long did this take you and what did you use to ink it ? Is it 11 by 17? I love your art and am always trying to soak up all I can about it.

This took about 2-3 hours I did it the evening before the con in the hotel room. I inked it with Copic multiliner pens and Jet Brush pens for the explosion and filling in the blacks. Its 11x17 Strathmore Bristol Board.

I did a tiny 1x2 inch thumbnail, then went straight to the page with a 4h lead for the underdrawing. Most of the Big Ben details were done in ink to save time,I used an elipse stencil for the clock. I used reference to get the general clock face and silhouette of Big Ben approximately right, But most of this was made up or without any reference. If this was a cover I would have made his surroundings much more accurate, and refined the lines and shadows on his figure more. I would have found reference for a specific gun instead of this made up one. that kind of think.

I hope thats helpful info! thanks man.

It does incredibly man, I have been taking some courses lately but it's hard to get the reliable page breakdown and certain specifics you're always willing to share online, so I appreciate it endlessly, really thanks so much.
