Yo Joe Cover sneak peek by RobertAtkins Yo Joe Cover sneak peek by RobertAtkins
Here is just a tiny....and I mean just a tiny section of this monster cover I'm working on. :iconspidermanfan2099: is in the middle of coloring this sucker.

It's a 3 fold connected cover for issues#18 of GI JOE, Cobra, and Snake Eyes &Storm Shadow. Its the Retailer's Incentive covers that will be out in Oct.

So the total image size is 33x17, and this section I'm showing is about 4x6 inches of it. I don't think I've drawn anything this busy before...and that's saying something.

Awesome! Where do you get your gun references?

it's out of my head at this point. I've done GI JOE so long I've memorized the structure and detail of most hand guns, their various brands and details. Along with dozens of automatic weapons and how they work. I've picked it up from special weapons magazine, accurate airsoft guns, and shooting guns myself to get an understanding of how they work.

Just practice based on research my man.

Umm you're amazing, you make my childhood (and fine I admit it, I was a teenager too for a bit) toys come to life. Always impressive.
